Quilting

I have taught myself a new skill, quilting. I have learned a lot along the way and have made my fair share of mistakes but its only getting better with time.  I have also learned that this is an expensive hobby and I don't get to do it as much as I would like. Good thing one quilt takes me a while to work on so it still keeps me busy.

Here are a few of my latest creations.

This blanket is for my niece, Finleigh Kate.
She picked the fabric all by herself.
This one is for my other niece, Maizy Jane. She also picked her own fabric.
I think its so funny how the girls picked such different colors and styles.
This one is Zach's graduation present. It is several of the shirts from all the activities he did through college. He was a busy, busy man.

This last one I made for Madison originally, but I've already made her two baby blankets and this one is rather large so I think I will just keep it for myself.

4th of July

Our fourth of July was simple but great.
We went swimming. We ate cupcakes. We hung out with family. We stayed up too late watching fireworks.
I think we all had a blast.
