Oh 2010, what a fun year you will be...

January is a time for reflections on the past year and goals for the new year ahead, so as part of society's tradition we did the same.
Highlights of 2009:
✓Sara was in the Film Alvin and the Chipmunks: the squeak-quil (now in theaters)
✓ Our engagement April 29
✓ Zach was the "hot" health councilor at EFY
✓Sara spent several months pulling out her hair and planning a wedding
✓August 19 Sara received her endowments
✓ We were married for time and all eternity on September 19, and it was beyond perfect!
✓Packed up everything we owned and moved to UTAH
✓ We found new jobs and a place to live right away
✓And more friends engagements, weddings, mission calls and babies then room to mention
Our Heavenly Father has truly blessed and watched over us every day as we started our new life together. As always we are thankful to have the Gospel in our lives; it has been such a wonderful foundation to grow on. We are thankful for the many opportunities it give us in our daily lives to be more Christlike.
We are also grateful for all of the love and support we have gotten from our family and friends this year. We couldn't have made it without all of you!!!
Goals of 2010:
Save enough money to go on our "Humanitarian Honeymoon" in Africa (details later)
Work hard on our family history and fill in the gaps of our family tree.
Zach to Graduate from Paramedic school, as well as college
Apply for medical school.
Go on several camping trips
Move out.
Get out of debt
Sara become a pro at many craft projects in all of her free time
Get a puppy or some other small pet....
I'm sure more will come as the year goes on.
In Other News:
I believe a congrats is in order....
My very intelligent and good looking husband was accepted into paramedic school this week! A long and rough road is ahead of us but we can do it! I knew going in to our marriage that several late nights, long hours, dark circles, missed dinners and lots of studying were part of our "game plan" for the future. I am very excited for what 2010 has in store for us.
The lack in husband time has given me an excess of alone time. Treating this as a positive I have been able to accomplish many things. I have become best friends with kitchen aid and sewing machine. They are a blast to play with but you can never put them in the same room or horrible things will occur. So, now I am a regular "do-it-all" housewife. I have started making two super cute quilts for my nieces, been perfecting my baking and cooking skills, and am getting ever so good at scrubbing the house and yelling at costumer service people.
Happy New Year to all. Hope your year is filled with accomplished goals and fun adventures!

As the new year begins

The weekend before Christmas we decided to go to Salt Lake to see the temple lights with some friends. It was such a fun date night! We ate dinner at this new yummy Italian restaurant. I have to say, Italian is my weakness. Then after completely freezing out tails off in the sea of people we decided to cut our trip a little short and head back to the warm car.
This is the ONLY picture we took of our first Christmas together! How pathetic and not like me. I must have been to excited to take any! This was on the way to the in laws to open presents with all the family. We had a wonderful Christmas. We exchanged pj's Christmas eve and Zach thought it would be funny to get me bright blue footed Pj's. We cuddled down into the couch with a big blanket and a roaring fire to watch Mr. Kruger's Christmas and then tried to go to sleep.
The Saturday after Christmas we packed our bags and headed to California to see my family and a few friends. We had such a fun week! We got 4Th row tickets to a Ducks hockey game and it was a blast! Zach found out that I am a big of a yeller at sporting events. It's more fun that way.
We rang in the new year with 45,000 other people at Disneyland! It was packed with people camping out all over the place waiting for the big count down. We went with our friends and were smart enough to pack blankets, DVD player and plenty of snacks for our camp out. The DJ arrived, Mickey and Minnie came out to dance the time away. Fireworks lit up the sky when the clock hit 12, people screaming and kissing all around us. It felt like a mini Time Square atmosphere and it was amazing!
Can you believe this crowd? It was insane!

Here is a little video to show you the true dorky-ness that is Sara. When the husbands are away the wives will play
