July is almost over...

Where did this month go? I Guess I should start things off by updating about everything going on so far. I just had my birthday a few weeks ago, I'm not a teen anymore baby! Last week I asked to be released from my calling as a sunbeam teacher. It was a bittersweet thing though. I have had that calling for 18 months now and I really feel its time that I act as a young single adult. So with that said, I am the Placentia 4th ward's newest member. Very exciting! I am going to miss my sunbeam class so much (not to mention my afternoon naps). They had taught me so many wonderful things. At times I don't think I have enough patience to listen to 5 three year old tell me different things at the same time, while trying to give them a lesson and keep them from hitting each other. I know I am loved and my Heavenly Father wouldn't give me more then I can handle.

Work is well.. going. I am kind of at a stand still. My new job at the salon in Newport is great. Its a much smaller salon (only 10 of us) which makes the drama practially non existent. It is a little bit of a drive but still worth it. Great people and a great location, I couldn't ask for more.

The job as a nanny is so much fun. I watch a little girl named Teresa. She is 11 months old TODAY! I have been watching her since she was three months old and I have to say, its been so much fun to watch her grow. We go to gymboree classes every week and frequently visit the Throckmorton family and go to the pool or park with them. They really are a fun family. Sadly they are in tahoe for the next couple weeks and we have no one to play with.

Birthday week!

Corey and I woke up early for some surfing lessons in Newport.

Can I just start by saying I have the best friends ever!? My birthday week was amazing. On Monday Corey and I woke up early and went down to Newport for surf lessons. Let's be honest. I was totally on board, until I jumped in the water and it was FREEZING cold! I tried for a couple minutes but the cold took over. So I sat on the beach and warmed up while Corey hit the waves. After that we went to a sub shop, really yummy. We met up with a few friends and hiked down to Corona Del Mar. I have to admit, it was quite the hike! We had to climb the sharp rocks as the waves were coming in. It was no small task. Once we got to the beach, the girls settled in while the boys swam out to jump off the cliffs. Afterwards we went to del taco and it was time for me to go home and take a shower before work. Keith met up with me when I got home and dumped me. Yeah, the jerk. A year and a half of dating and two days before my actual birthday. I was heartbroken.
On to a more positive topic, I woke up the morning of my birthday and went to the rainbow factory in San Clemante with Corey, Mitchell and Galia. We bought new sandals and then went to lunch at this little hole in the wall mexican place near trussles. That afternoon we went to K1 speed track and played with the race karts. Jeff and Stevo joined in on the fun. And again I had to leave early for band practice. I was practicing with Brittany's band called "the others". It's actually her dad's band, and they needed more back up singers for their preformance on the 4th of July. They surprised me with an ice cream cake and they all sang to me! It was the best birthday week ever!
